Ben McLam graduated from CMU in 2012 with a music degree in piano performance. Since then he has been hanging around Grand Junction, participating in some notable ensembles as a keyboard player including the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, the Western Colorado Chorale, the Western Colorado Jazz Orchestra, as well as stints for local church choir concerts, community choirs, and high school musicals. He also has worked extensively at CMU as a staff pianist, working with choirs and vocal students as well as the opera class performances, for which he has helped rehearse and direct music. He is looking forward to the opportunity the GVC Orchestra will provide for musicians as well as all people in the valley, and continuing to share the gift of music to everyone.
